ZitatAlles anzeigenDear Madam,
Dear Sir,
thank you very much for your answer!
But Friends of ours had massive problems last time when they entered Croatia with their Airsoft Guns. They went to the customs and were later arrested and sent to court. They were accused that they did not report their import of Airsoft Guns to Croatia to the Croatian Police.
Therefore i contacted you. So this means that it is, as you inform us, not neccessary to specially inform the Croatian Police but it is enough for us to deal with the Croatian Customs?
Best Regards
Sincerely yours
Josef Nemeth
ZitatAirsoft weapons are allowed to bring across the border if it has the same characteristics as the Painball.
You must bring your certificate of technical characteristics of weapons which shows that the firearm is not dangerous to humans. (for life and health)
ZitatAlles anzeigenHello,
thank you very much again.
What is considered a suitable certificate of technical characteristics?
Is there an example document, or any info which data i has to conatin and who is allowed to make such a document that it is considered valid by the Croatian Officials?

SUBJECT: Reply to an inquiry
- Airsoft in Croatia
Dear Mr Nemeth,
Regarding your inquiries, we hereby inform you as follows:
Foreign residents, as well as Croatian citizens having their usual place of residence in foreign countries, within the meaning of Annex B.6 of the Convention on Temporary Admission (Official Gazette - International agreements, No. 16/98) and Article 270 of the Regulation Implementing the Customs Act (Official Gazette No. 161/03 to 76/09), may be exempted from payment of customs duties and allowed to temporarily admit (with the obligation of re-export) various items for the purpose of their use for personal needs, as well as items for sports purposes.
Pursuant to Annex B.6 of the Convention on Temporary Admission, goods imported for sports purposes, which may include sports arms, have to be owned by the persons established or residing abroad and have to be imported in appropriate quantities with regard to the planned purpose of the temporary admission.
Within the meaning of customs regulations, items intended for sports purposes can be temporarily admitted in the Republic of Croatia without submission of customs documents and guarantees, possibly with submission of the “list of goods”. This list has to contain detailed data about the passenger and the goods, with one verified copy handed back to the passenger so that he/she may use it on re-export, as proof of the goods identity. Temporary admission can be performed by each passenger separately, for an air rifle which is in his/her ownership, or it can be performed by a sports association established in the Republic of Croatia, for arriving foreign athletes.
Considering that this specific case involves admission of sports arms, we would like to note that admission of weapons can be performed only at international border crossings, with mandatory report to the border police.
For the purpose of obtaining more information on admission of arms, we recommend that you address the Ministry of the Interior (http://www.mup.hr/), as it is the body competent for supervision of admission of weapons into the country.
Finally, we would like to point out that the information hereby given answer to your inquiry and they cannot be considered relevant in circumstances other than the ones described in your inquiry.
Faithfully yours,
INFORMATION OFFICER - SPOKEPERSON
